About The Role
As our first accounting hire, you will play a key role in building and scaling the core infrastructure of FlutterFlow’s accounting and financial operations. You will own our control processes, drive month-end close, and prepare consolidated monthly financial statements, as well as oversee tax, payroll, and billing operations. Reporting to the Head of Finance, this role involves close collaboration with our outsourced accounting firm and our auditors.
What You Will Work On
About The Role
As our first accounting hire, you will play a key role in building and scaling the core infrastructure of FlutterFlow’s accounting and financial operations. You will own our control processes, drive month-end close, and prepare consolidated monthly financial statements, as well as oversee tax, payroll, and billing operations. Reporting to the Head of Finance, this role involves close collaboration with our outsourced accounting firm and our auditors.
What You Will Work On
- Oversee and improve financial controls, policies, and close processes
- Own GAAP financial reporting and tax compliance requirements
- Manage day-to-day payroll and billing operations
- Drive internal system implementations and tool migrations
- You have 6+ years of professional accounting experience, including audit experience and have worked at a fast-paced, technology start-up
- You have an in-depth understanding of US GAAP, particularly in software revenue recognition and cost accounting, and regulatory requirements
- You are proficient in Excel and have basic knowledge of data querying (SQL, Power Query, or similar tools)
- You are highly diligent, with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- You are adaptable, proactive, and comfortable exploring new technologies
- You are willing to come into our Mountain View office at least twice a week and travel annually for team summits, which may be international
- CPA strongly preferred, as this role offers growth opportunities into a future Controller position
- Multi-entity accounting experience preferred
